�鶹��ý���� University (CSU) is pleased to announce that Randall Deike, Ph.D. will serve as the University’s next vice president of enrollment management effective September 2, pending ratification by the CSU Board of Trustees at their next meeting.��

Dr. Deike, a respected leader and analytical thinker in the field of higher education admissions, comes to CSU with four decades of experience.

“In my conversations with Randy during this search process, he has expressed great enthusiasm for CSU’s mission of serving students with roots in Northeast Ohio and big aspirations for their future,” said Laura Bloomberg, Ph.D., president of �鶹��ý���� University. “Our students will benefit from his analytic approach to enrollment strategy and his innovative thinking as we move forward.”

Dr. Deike’s professional career includes positions as senior vice president for enrollment management and student success at Drexel University, vice president for enrollment management and institutional research at New York University and vice president for enrollment at Case Western Reserve University. In 2020, Dr. Deike began his consulting firm, Deike and Associates, LLC, to provide services and guidance to colleges and universities related to budget modeling, enrollment trends and predictive modeling.

Dr. Deike is also no stranger to CSU. He previously served as senior vice president for enrollment management and student success from October 2019 until July 2020.��

“His return is a reflection of his deep interest in helping this campus community advance the mission of CSU,” said Dr. Bloomberg.

While at �鶹��ý����, Dr. Deike played a key role in major projects focused on student opportunity, including developing institutional programs and policies to support access, affordability and student success; establishing campuses in Shanghai and Abu Dhabi; and traveling to Asia to meet with government and education officials to establish partnerships with U.S. universities. He has also had extensive experience assisting institutions in sharing their stories through strategic communication that defines and articulates the value proposition of an education.

“I completed my bachelor’s, graduate and doctoral degrees later in life than may be considered ‘typical,’” Dr. Deike said. “As a result of my background and experience, my passion for fostering access, affordability and inclusion is one of my defining personal characteristics. I know from personal experience the challenges families face in considering a college education, especially the families of underrepresented students. I also understand and have experienced for myself the life-altering, generational benefits of an education and how complicated the journey can be. I am excited to be returning to the CSU community.”

Dr. Deike earned both a Ph.D. and Master of Science from The Pennsylvania State University in educational psychology with an emphasis on psychometrics and statistics. He earned his Bachelor of Science in psychology from Juniata College.
